Are you home for the summer, without a good Bible study group option?
Consider starting your own!
Imagine what God could do among a group of friends as you seek Him through the Word in a solid fellowship together. Just invite some friends and connections, select materials, choose your weekly day/time/location, and be willing to facilitate (not teach) through a study. Most importantly, PRAY.
You can do this! God loves to use ordinary people like you and me to minister to others.
Training Resources:
Here are some helpful training resources we use with Discipleship Group leaders about leading small groups
Materials Suggestions:
1. LifeChange Bible studies. These NavPress Bible studies are among our favorite for diving deep into a book of the Bible. We've done Romans and 1 John for UMN Navs using these books, and really liked using them. There are a bunch of options.
2. Grace Bible Church Bible studies. We've done several of these Bible studies with UMN Navs and for Dells STP. There are 20+ really well written Bible studies available as PDFs, all for free.
Consider also adding in Scripture memory via the Topical Memory System, C-Pack (this is what the Summer Navs group is doing).
If you have any questions, or want help/advice, please contact Joe Sweetman (612-875-8075).
