Spring Break 2008   |   March 15 - 21

purpose

To grow in Christ-likeness through an outreach/service trip to the Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

We'll have a great mixture of hanging out, rest, teaching, outdoor adventure, and outreach/service.

 

registration

Cost: $275; $100 deposit reserves your spot. Limited to 36 student spots.

travel 

Drive/ride in Caravans organized by the staff.

Depart early on Saturday, March 15th. Arrive home late on Friday, March 21st.

Minneapolis to Denver:  914 mi – about 12 hours 56 mins (directions)
Denver to Colorado Springs:  70.5 mi – about 1 hour 11 mins (directions)
Colorado Springs to Minneapolis:  984 mi – about 13 hours 59 mins (directions)

Cars needed! $30 discount for drivers whose cars we use.

 

lodging

One night at the Drury Inn in Denver.
-->Accommodations: 4 people per room (2 queen beds/room). pool/whirlpool, full breakfast

Five nights at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs.
-->Accommodations: Get comfortable in a lodge, 6 people per room (3 bunk beds), with nice restrooms/showers and bedding/pillows provided.

-->Food: Each meal is freshly prepared on-site by award-winning executive chefs, and served buffet-style in the King James Dining Room of the Castle. Free fresh coffee and tea available each day.

-->Amenities: Hiking/biking trails, sports equipment, computer for checking email, snack shop, bookstore, and gift shop.

Attire: medium jacket, hiking/outdoor clothes and shoes, casual clothes, ratty clothes for service project
